Join Linn Kight in Supporting Bridging Bionics' Athletes!
HI,
I am Linn Kight and I had a stroke 5 years ago. When I first started here at Bridging Bionics, I had a feeding tube and used a walker or a cane. I was still doing respite care at this time and I needed to prove that I can live independently and make good choices. The physical therapists at BBF helped me accomplish that goal and the emotional support through that process was tremendous and it still is. Now, I live independently and walk with no assistive devices. My balance has improved greatly and so has my confidence.
Being a rehab nurse, I know what the other side of rehabilitation looks like and the importance of family support and getting therapy. At the time, my rehab doctors thought I would never be able to leave my wheelchair nor would I be understood when speaking. Thanks to the team effort and emotional support at Bridging Bionics, I am where I am today because of BBF. My daughter is getting married this upcoming fall and my goal is to walk in heels at her wedding!
For this reason, I wanted to pay it forward by helping fundraise for their '23 Bridging Mobility Campaign. I am asking for your support to help me raise my personal goal of $500. With 64% of the athletes that Bridging Bionics serves needing financial assistance, donations will go directly towards scholarships that will cover their annual $500 program fee. Overall, by mobilizing together, we hope to raise a total of $20,000 for this cause and any amount of donation counts!
By becoming a donor, you will be giving the gift of mobility to all Bridging Bionics' athletes and will ensure everyone has access to a healthier, physically active, socially connected and fulfilling life!
I Appreciate Your Help,
Linn
