Join Julianna Adams in Supporting Bridging Bionics' Athletes!

Hi,

My name is Julianne Adams and I was diagnosed with MS in 1978 at the age of 20 years old. I first started to experience double vision during my sophomore year of college and then developed some right leg weakness. Those first couple years were a real adjustment as everything was happening so fast and impacting my life on a daily basis. Flash forward to 1996, I am now married to my husband and we made the move from Minneapolis to Denver for a job opportunity. Now, we are part time owners at the Snowmass Club so we are in Snowmass anywhere from 4-7 weeks out of the year.

I started working with the Bridging Bionics Foundation around 2018 after Amanda saw me walking into the Snowmass Health Club. She stopped me, introduced herself and invited me to try the Galileo. She believed the therapists at Bridging Bionics could help me. What a giving, inspiring woman she is, and she definitely peaked my interest and I’ve been involved ever since.

My favorite part about my BBF sessions is the time with the excellent therapists and the many different therapeutic pieces of equipment I have access to. Each therapist offers excellent advice and perspective on how to help me maintain and improve my mobility. Maria, Debbie, Tami, Kenzi- they are all fantastic and each has a unique approach that helps me. I am grateful to be able to use the various equipment- from the Galileo to the Lokomat and then the other pieces like stretching, dry-needling and various exercises they suggest. Each time I am there, they video my walking so I can compare my gait from time to time. I guess it is hard for me to say there is just one favorite part, but as a whole it is an excellent experience for me. A big boost for me, emotionally, is the encouragement I get from each and every one of the therapists. They are truly a special bunch. I feel so honored to be involved in this organization.

For this reason, I wanted to pay it forward by helping fundraise for their '23 Bridging Mobility Campaign. I am asking for your support to help me raise my personal goal of $500. With 64% of the athletes that Bridging serves needing financial assistance, donations will go directly towards scholarships that will cover their annual $500 program fee. Overall, by mobilizing together, we hope to raise a total of $20,000 for this cause and any amount of donation counts!

By becoming a donor, you will be giving the gift of mobility to all Bridging Bionics' athletes and will ensure everyone has access to a healthier, physically active, socially connected and fulfilling life!

I Appreciate Your Help,

Julianne
